Bill Petrus is the driving force behind TP OUTDOORS.

For more than four decades, Bill has carved out a reputation as a consummate outdoorsman equally at ease stalking whitetail through dense timber, chasing elk in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico, or leading trophy‐class waterfowl hunts in the prairie pothole region. His deep knowledge of habitat, wildlife behavior, and land stewardship has earned him respect from landowners, wildlife agencies, and fellow hunters and anglers from coast to coast. Under Bill’s leadership, TP OUTDOORS offers a seamless blend of time-honored traditions and cutting-edge techniques, ensuring that clients of all skill levels experience the true rhythms of the natural world.

Yet Bill’s greatest passion lies beyond trophies and tag-counts. Early in his career, he recognized that the resources and camaraderie of the hunting community could be mobilized for far greater good. Bill's passion for the outdoors lead to TP OUTDOORS’ "Pay It Forward" Adventures program—specialized hunts, fishing outings, and wilderness treks designed to empower individuals with physical disabilities—delivering not just trophies but lifelong memories of independence and achievement.

Today, Bill Petrus brings his lifetime of experience and enthusiastic spirit to the national stage as co-host of “Hoge Wild Heroes,” alongside award‐winning country music artist and television host Lucas Hoge. In each episode, Bill’s genuine warmth and can-do approach make him the ideal guide not only through rugged terrain but also through stories of extraordinary individuals who are making a difference—from veterans seeking healing in the backcountry to grassroots conservationists fighting habitat loss.
